About me
Nazli Ates 1989, Turkiye
I am a London-based artist exploring the relationship between color, form, and perception through geometric abstraction and optical illusions. Using markers on paper, I embrace both precision and spontaneity, creating dynamic compositions that challenge spatial expectations and depth.
I studied at Camberwell College of Arts for Art & Design Foundation and a BA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins. My practice is driven by the tension between structure and distortion, with a focus on contrast, rhythm, and movement. Through meticulous yet intuitive mark-making, I create shifting visual landscapes where order and chaos coexist.
